MVTI has an open admissions policy, which means in the absence of a high school or GED certificate, an assessment test will be administered.

- Professional Commercial Driver Training
- The Professional Commercial Driver Training offered at Mesilla Valley Training Institute is designed to prepare individuals with a core foundation of procedures, basic skills, and abilities to meet and exceed the Commercial Drivers License (CDL) standards as well as industry job qualifications as a trainee driver. MVTI classrooms are equipped with full audio/visual aides; training maneuver areas, and a professional supportive staff.
- Graduation Requirements
- Students must complete the required number of course hours and maintain a 70% course average throughout the course.
- Course Length: 200 hours
- Course Schedule
- Day Class: Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM
- Evening Class: Monday through Friday, 4 PM to Midnight

This is a simple list to give you an idea of the overall financial aid process. Use this as a guide to determine what your next steps should be. Don’t forget to look at our other pages for more detailed information regarding financial aid. - Apply for financial aid by March 1 of every year for the following school year. Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete the application.
- Within 5 - 10 business days, the financial aid office should have your results. Call toll free (877) 339-7253 to check on the status of your file.
- Bring any required documentation in order to complete your file.
- Within 5 - 10 business days, these should be processed. You can check the status by calling us.
- Once the processing is done, your file is reviewed and completed. Within 4 - 8 business days, you can see your awards by visiting our office.
